Hydroxide Alkalis

Solid Soaps: Use Sodium Hydroxide to make solid bar soaps.

Liquid Soaps: Use Potassium Hydroxide to make liquid soaps.

Accompanying Products Requirement (READ THIS): Sodium Hydroxide and Potassium hydroxide may be purchased only if such items are no more than 50% of the total sum of prices for all items ordered. This is to preserve the availability of these items to our soapmaking customers.

Shipping Notes & Requirements (READ THIS): We ship alkalis as allowable "ORM-D" materials. No "hazmat" fees are added. Caustic alkali items (sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide) must be sent via UPS Ground, only and are available only in the 48 contiguous states of the USA (no air transport).

Preapproval of ship method and charge adjustment if necessary: If your order contains Sodium Hydroxide or Potassium Hydroxide, be sure to select shipment by UPS Ground in our checkout. Orders containing these items cannot be shipped legally via any US Postal service. By purchasing items containing sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide, you agree that any such order that is incorrectly submitted with Postal service selected will be recomputed for shipment via UPS Ground and shipping charge will be adjusted accordingly before the order is submitted for credit card or PayPal payment.
